Coleraine Workshop

Built from experience, made with care

Causeway Laser Co. is a small independent laser engraving business based in Coleraine, Northern Ireland.

I run the business alongside my work as a memorial mason, which has given me a strong eye for lettering, layout and proportion. I bring that experience into every project, from personalised gifts and signs to home pieces and branded products for local businesses.

We work with a varied range of materials, including slate, granite, plywood, MDF, wood veneers and repurposed pieces where suitable. Every project is approached individually, with care given to the design, material and intended use.

The Maker's Story

Built on practical experience

Causeway Laser Co. is a small independent laser engraving business based in Coleraine. I handle each project personally, from discussing the initial idea and preparing the design through to engraving, finishing and collection.

My work as a memorial mason has helped me develop a careful eye for lettering, spacing, proportion and materials. I now bring that experience into personalised gifts, custom signs, commemorative pieces and branded products for local businesses.

I enjoy working with a varied range of materials and ideas, including slate, granite, plywood, MDF, veneers and repurposed pieces where suitable. The aim is always to create something thoughtful, well finished and appropriate for its intended use.

Materials with a purpose

Chosen for the project, not for the label

I work with slate, granite, plywood, MDF, veneers, reclaimed timber and other suitable materials depending on the design, budget and intended use.

Some materials are bought specifically for a project, while others are locally sourced or repurposed from useful offcuts that might otherwise go to waste. Whatever the source, I choose each piece for its suitability, appearance and the quality of finish it can achieve.
